1. Can I have my email name similar to my website address name (URL)?

YES – you can have yourname@yoursite.com.au. Once your doamin has been registered you can then have a number of email addresses.

2. How long does it take to produce a website, and get it on line?

All websites differ, but if your site is a medium site and the information is available, we can have your site on-line within two weeks.

3. How do I know what kind of site I'll get finally?

We provide you with examples of websites that we've completed – with client references – we then produce a site plan. Thereafter we go through a series of drafts, and make sure that you get the kind of site design and functionality that you had in mind.

4. Can a good site be produced in spite of our proximity to your office?

YES – fairly easily too. We are in the business of comunicating effectively, and we can go through the development stages of a website quite easily with a client who is far away from us.

5. Can I update my own site myself – later – and if I don't have the time what will it cost me?

YES – once your site is complete, you can update it yourself, alternatively we can make updates – based on an hourly rate or a maintenance plan.


6. Will my website files be backed-up at all times?

YES – we make back-ups of your site, plus the hosting server does periodical back-ups.

7. If I trade on-line are my clients card details safe?

Regarding on-line trading we will host the relevant pages on a secure server, we also utilise a method of card info retrieval – where the card details are only accessible by you (the merchant).

8. Will my website be produced using all the latest techniques?

YES – we make it our business to stay abreast with all the latest software and techniques. We will utilise any new features that improve or add value to a website.

9. What are my options regarding a domain name?

We will get your site registered, or we'll provide you with the information to do the registration yourself.
Your choice is to have a name with – .com.au at the end, or alternately there are many others available – log onto melbourneit.com.au or another domian registration website.

10. I have an existing email account with my (ISP), they provide me with free hosting of my site.

Thats great, only your domain name will then be tacked onto their name, which makes it awkward for users to get to your site, also should you change your ISP later, you would then have to remarket your sites location because your site address will be different.

11. I have a good idea about which ISP I'd like to use to host my site.

Thats good, we'll be able to advise – if necessary – and once your site is complete, we can upload your site on any server – anywhere in the world.
